Welcome to my home, The Philosopher's Hut. Also known as Sofia. This self-sustaining 'tiny home on wheels' was crafted The Woodcraft Project in Huntley and is currently based at The ASHA Centre near Mitcheldean.
Sofia is a well-insulated wooden cabin built on a Brian-James car trailer. She is a fully equipped home with a kitchen, sitting area, double bed, and toilet/shower room. There is also plenty of indoor and outdoor storage.

The design includes a built-in water tank and appliances run off either solar energy or gas. Solar panels have been installed on the roof and gas bottles are kept on board.
Sofia moved from The Woodcraft Project to The ASHA Centre on 16th May 2023. The building is 2 meters wide and about 5 meters long. At the highest point (including the trailer and solar panels) Sofia is about 3 meters tall.
She is small for home, but large for the road. The drive was slow but smooth as Sofia's builder, Dominic Brady, safely delivered her (with Tilly the tractor) to her new home in the ASHA garden.
